Community Centre

The Schoolhouse was the site of Maryborough Primary School built in the 1880’s and has been lovingly restored to retain the beautiful historic features, while providing a modern and comfortable building with an abundance of natural light and warmth.

Our residents view the Schoolhouse as an extension of their own home and have access 24 hours a day. Residents are encouraged to use the facilities to host social functions with family and friends all year around.

Our generous kitchen is available at any time for residents community meals.

Throughout the week, residents may join in many activities at the Schoolhouse including yoga classes, craft classes, billiards, painting and drawing classes, Petanque Piste, and much more.

We’re a bit excited about our fun toy… our brand new 12 seater van will allow us to take some great adventures together!

Our residents love to take advantage of the afternoon light in the Dining Room where they can spread out and work on their craft together.

Craft Room

There’s always something creative happening in the gorgeous old classroom, complete with its original slate blackboards. An artist’s dream space with abundant light and a wonderful feel. Here we host regular formal Art Classes and a resident-run Art Group within the village community.

The Living Room

Although it’s grand room with soaring ceilings, we gather here because it still has a wonderful warmth. You will find the residents here every Friday for Happy Hour Drinks and we hold our annual Christmas in July, Melbourne Cup and Grand Final events in the Living Room which has a TV with Foxtel and other major streaming services.
